Pedestrian Audits - A Checklist for Safety and Quality Inspections of Pedestrian Infrastructure
The worldwide number of deadly road traffic accidents is in a critical range with 1.25 million incidents in 2013. In addition, it is particularly in low and middleincome countries (LMIC) that the motorization rate and thus the number of road traffic accidents will continue to increase (WHO 2015). It is to be assumed that a large part of road traffic accidents is also due to an insufficient foot traffic infrastructure. In addition, it can be assumed that the proportion of pedestrians will continue to increase.
